Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a fee to cancel? How do I cancel?

There are no fees to cancel and no minimum months you must be signed up for. As long as you cancel your membership before the next billing date, you won’t be charged for the next month. You can cancel by going to “My Account”, “Billing”, and clicking on “Customer Portal” or by emailing connor@morrishockeytraining.com

What is synthetic ice?

Synthetic ice is a plastic material that you can skate on. Skating is more difficult than on real ice, therefore we do not recommend it for beginners until they have learned the basics of skating. However, pucks slide on synthetic ice basically the same allowing you to practice your stick and puck skills just like on real ice.

What skills can I work on when I book a Shooting Lane or Private Lesson?

Shooting, stick-handling, and passing are the main skills we focus on. We provide all the training aids you need to improve these skills. Our training center is the perfect place to work on anything involving a stick and puck.

What hours will the Shooting Lanes be open?

You will be able to see available hours when you go to book a Shooting Lane. Hours will vary but our goal is to be open as much as possible to ensure all players can train when it fits their schedule.

How many players can use a Shooting Lane at the same time?

We recommend no more than 2 players use the same lane at a time. This ensures there is enough space to safely train for you and other players who may be training at the same time.

If I book a Shooting Lane can someone without The Hockey Pass join me?

Yes but the person without The Hockey Pass will have to pay $15 per half hour. Free access to the Training Center is reserved for members only.

How does The Sibling Pass work?

If one sibling purchases a standard Hockey Pass Membership, the second sibling can purchase a discounted Sibling Pass. The Sibling Pass includes all the same benefits, except you do not get an additional hour of free Shooting Lane rental a day. So between the two, you will share 1 free hour a day. You can train together, each take a half hour, or either sibling can train by themselves that day.

Do I need to sharpen my skates after training on synthetic ice?

Most likely. Most players prefer to sharpen their skates after each training session. The synthetic ice does dull your edge slightly, so we recommend sharpening skates after every 1-3 training sessions depending on your preference. We offer sharpening’s for $5 or you can upgrade your Hockey Pass membership for $5 a month to include unlimited sharpening’s after each training session.
